The Challenge

The food industry has a pollution problem with polystyrene single use boxes that are used only once for transporting goods, in addition to high volumes of food wastage due to poor conditions. The Founder of iBoxit wanted to disrupt these reoccurrences and aspired to design a food transportation box that could be reuseable, compatible with warm & cold temperatures, and not cause bacterial infections to humans.

Through the University of East Anglia, iBoxit were introduced to the Innovation Grant Mentoring Programme because they needed support with finessing their idea in writing to explain the product’s vitalness within the food industry, as well as application help because they had never applied for a grant before.

Our Solution

The Innovation Grant Mentoring Programme connected iBoxit with an Innovation Mentor and a Bid Coach so they could clearly define their product and capture awareness for its need. They also gained knowledge around how to successfully apply for the Innovate UK Better Food For All grant.

Results & Impact
